Hallelujah We Shall Rise by Sis. Irene Spanogle
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:20
From his miraculous birth to his resurrection, Jesus was proven to be the promised Messiah. Yet few believed in his divinity. Most saw him only as a man. Most today who believe that he was the Messiah have the opposite problem. They only see his divinity. They don’t comprehend that he was just as human as we are, yet did not sin one time. He thus left us an example that we who believe on Him should follow in his steps. While on the cross God gave infallible proof that Jesus was dead, allowing the soldier to pierce his side with the sword, and his life‘s blood gushed out. He left him in the grave three days as further proof that he was indeed dead. Then Ac. 1:3 tells us, “To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days..”. He was resurrected and lived again, and is now reigning in Heaven. His life and all He endured as a human being, His obedience to God in accepting His will in the death on the cross, and His ultimate literal resurrection are all object lessons for us. As we follow the examples he has left us, we can be assured that if we are faithful we will also experience that literal resurrection after we leave this earth. Praise God for that hope, expectation, expressed in 1Pe. 1:3,4, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you”. Hallelujah
